Nearly 4 years of use...

This drive has been solid for me, which is weird considering the horror stories LaCie products usually accumulate. It's being used for my iTunes library which is on and running 24/7. I haven't turned this off for more than a day in four years. Somehow I lucked out with this one, so I wanted to throw another good review it's way. To be honest after this long if it fails I'll just throw another PATA drive in the case and keep running.

I see many have had problems with this drive, but not me.
I think I have had it for 4-5 years now and it has never had any issues.
I use a Mac and it's placed in my tower. I never move it, it's a small size, but it's NOT a portable drive.

Beware of Sharp Edges!

I've had this drive about a week. I use it on a PowerMac G5 as a backup hard drive for photos. Sets up easily. Works fine so far.

The design by F.A.Porsche is overrated. The design is a shiny box the size of a VHS tape. Biggy deal. They get a B- grade for forgetting to file down the very sharp edges on the front and back of the shiny box. Handle with care!
