Good Quality, Great Accessory

I've used two of these with Manfrotto 026 umbrella adapters for over a year. Easy to use, good quality, and cheap. Pick one up and you'll be satisfied.

Sturdy and effective

Its hard to wax poetic about a shoe mount, but it does its work well, and eliminates the risk of shorting your strobe's electrical contacts. When the red screw is tightened down, it also takes a strong grip on the strobe. My strobe is usually mounted on a PocketWizard Flex which in turn is mounted on this shoe.

Note that I use this adapter in conjunction with a Manfrotto 5001B 74-Inch Nano Stand, a Manfrotto 026 Swivel Lite-Tite Umbrella Adapter, and a Westcott 43" Optical White Satin Collapsible Umbrella. This combination works exceedingly well for my purposes.

Simply works

I'm using this with Nikon SB-900 and SB-800. It keeps the contacts from shorting and holds the strobe securely at any angle. The thumbscrew could be a little larger for my taste, but that's not enough of a problem to warrant taking a star.
