Nikon SB-600 Speedlight

Although this particular SB-600 was purchased as a Birthday gift and given to the recipient, I also own an SB-600 unit purchased earlier. I love it. It gives an amazing amount of light output for it's size and cost, and the TTL coupling through the camera produces properly exposed pictures every time I use it.

Nice flash unit

I had some difficulty deciding between the 600 and the 800, the 800 being $100 more. I decided on this because of price and I'll get the 800 as an upgrade when I'm ready to use the master/slave feature of these flashes. That said, the Nikon accessories like the flash diffuser only fit the 800 so if you need add-ons better to go with the 800 from the start. Otherwise, the 600 is good. The battery life with this flash is excellent at around 225 flashes on a single charge and no recycle time at all until the batteries are almost exhausted. Good work Nikon!

I did extensive research before purchasing the Nikon SB-600. I also found the Amazon price better than elsewhere.
Since my purchase, I have used the Speedlight Flash on numerous occasions. It works perfectly. I heartily commend the SB-600 to all who are seeking a reliable and economical flash for their Nikon cameras.

Amazing Flash - easy to get professional results

Anyone with a Nikon camera which supports TTL will certainly appreciate the convenience and easy of the SB-600 flash. As an amateur photographer I was looking for a flash that would work primarily in the automatic setting and produce great lighting results in a variety of environments. My D40x with this flash has produced some great photos that I never would have been able to capture with the onboard flash. If you are considering the SB-400 for your D40/D40x/D60 camera, spend the extra money and buy the SB-600. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

Good Deal for Consumer

Very good value for your money. If you are professional photographer, you would have bought the SB800 and skipped any reviews. If you are consumer, this is the best value for your money. I have this flash for two years and took thousand of pictures. Powerful enough for taking pictures from graduation to Taekwondo competitions as well as any other school events.
