Made my life easier

There is nothing I need to add to what has been said but I would like to share what I am experiencing. This device has made huge difference to a carpal tunnel issue I have been experiencing with my mouse arm. It has almost gone away completely and I have only been using this for 2 days. The other very interesting, to me, side effect is that I experienced a little difficulty operating this device at first until I started to RELAX and realized how much tension existed in my neck and upper torso. I needed to adjust my seating position to help with this but the upshot is I am much more relaxed and functioning in this Zen like bliss state ......... sliced bread has nothing on this. Heck I prefer to buy uncut French loaves myself.

First time use

I purchased this unit two weeks ago.
The first problem is,you can't keep the visual view centered.
To do so you need to press PF12 many times during flying.
I checked the mfg. site and see they have a add-on unit,
that will fix this issue !?
In General it is a nice unit,but it as to be improved.

Great peripheral, but could be cheaper

Bought this about 2 months ago, and after a rather rocky start, I've come to wonder how I've flown flight sims without it. A prior review spoke of not being able to keep the center centered, well, I'm not sure what they're doing, but that's not an issue. You've got the ability to create a dead spot in the center that will alliviate 99% of natural head wobble. It takes a few sessions, but using the TrackIR becomes second nature quite quickly. The software is easy to setup, as is the hardware. I used an open top visor to attach the reflective tape to. Once you have a comfortable tracking speed selected, the device is great.

The only real downside I'd say would be the price. It's not like buying a joystick that you can try out. If the price were a touch cheaper, maybe closer to something like a high-end mouse, I think more people would be interested. Many newer games are coming with $30 discount coupons, so that's a start.

I don't have the Vector expansion, but will eventually purchase it, as I enjoy playing FS2004.

All in all, a great product if you fly a lot of flight sims. It's even better with those that support the enhanced mode, which are most of the newer ones. Guys playing Aces over the Pacific need not apply. It'll still work with older games that support mouselook, but you run into the problem of having to recenter more often. In enhanced mode, the only time I have to recenter is when I change seating positions, or drastically move my hat.

Good product. I gave it 5/5 even though I had some trouble with the setup. The trouble isn't with the product, but personal preference. Other than that, worked as advertised, and greatly enhanced my gaming sessions.
