Good Upgrade from wireless adaptor

Purchased the D Link Omni Directional 7dbI adaptor because of the enclosed space where the CPU and wireless adaptor were located. Even before I relocated the new D Link Antenna, the increase in reception was exceptional. The signal jumped from very poor to Good to Very Good on the reating system on my CPU. Location of the router is upstairs in a closet and without the antenna I am afraid contact with the router would have been unsuccessful. Needless to say, I am very pleased because the reception is better than I had expected. Would recommend this antenna to others. The only problem is the length of the cable that accompanied the
Antenna. I also purchased, at the same time since I knew the length of the antenna lead, a compatable Hawking Extension Cable so that I now have the versatility to relocate the antenna to many different locations to obtain even better reception.

Extends Range Significantly

Our office is in a house that was built approximately 1910. That means it has real plaster, lots of metal in the walls and it is four stories. Before getting this antenna I nearly went nuts trying to keep everyone connected to the wireless network. After I attached this antenna to the router though (setup was a breeze, I unscrewed one of the original antennae then screwed the cable end of this one in its place-- three minutes tops), most of my problems cleared up. The base is magnetic so it can double as a refrigerator magnet.

Not a huge improvement, but enough to turn an intermittent connection (occasional dropouts) into a reasonably reliable one.

Works for me

I was having WiFi issues in one of my rooms, so I picked up this D-Link for about $[...] after rebate. Bottom line, my problem is gone. Where I used to have 50% signal strength, I now have 80+%. I no longer lose my connection. For me, it was money well spent. I have the antenna mounted on the wall behind my desk, and it's working great.

I live in a tri-level house. To get to the router; the singnal had to travel through stairs and a few walls. Before I installed the antenna I got poor reception, but now the reception is good and it does not drop.
