Thomas the Train

I purchased this for my grandson and he absolutely loved playing with this; in fact he still does. I would purchase from this seller again.

hours of fun. versatile

My kiddo loves putting the track together in different ways, using the blocks as regular legos and it's neat that you can add other systems to this one to build larger and larger cities.

Fun, though a little expensive

The positives about this product:
- It is a great educational toy as with all Lego Duplo.
- It is easy to put together, even by little toddler hands and is very durable.
The improvements I would suggest:
- There seem to be too few pieces for the price. I know that Geotrax sells great train sets which are under $50 which have a lot more pieces and a battery powered engine for the trains. As other reviewers have said, there could definitely be more tracks provided.
- It would be great to have a Sir Topham Hatt with this set. It seems silly to have a little station without a person waiting to get on the train.

Overall this is a great toy depending on what you are looking for. If you are looking for an educational experience, as with all Lego products it's a great set. If you're looking for a first train set that has a lot of power and lots of pieces to explore, it's probably better to look further. Also, I discovered that Lego has a more updated version of the Thomas sets on their website so it's worth checking those out prior to ordering from Amazon.

Cute set

This is a cute train set and my son likes putting the pieces together. My son just got this for his 2nd birthday and likes playing with it. At 2 though he doesn't quite have the skill yet to keep the train on the track all the time and gets frustrated by this. I think an older child would have better control, thus not an issue. He's able to put the track together so that is a plus.

Good toy. My son loves playing with it. All lego duplo sets are overpriced if you ask me.

Thomas has a big job to do today. Load him up at the cargo tower, and then send him on his way to Tidmouth Station. This set includes a cargo tower with a slide, so you can open it to drop cargo. It also features a full track that measures 23" x 35" plus a train signal and station. Hours of fun are just around the bend for Thomas and Friends fans. You'll even get over 7' of running track. It includes 16 track pieces. Set is compatible with the complete LEGO Duplo System.
