Best headphones I have ever owned

I received these headphones as a Christmas gift from my parents just over 10 years ago. I used them throughout college and they are with me at my job where I use them ~5 hours every day. They give incredible, clear sound; better than any I've heard through headphones. Of course, I am no audiofile and I am sure there are better, but for quite a bit more money. The extra long cord on these headphones is incredibly useful as well. After 10 years of wear and tear the only "problem" I had is the vinyl covering over the ear pads came off leaving me with the soft, foam pad beneath. Which is still quite comfortable. My only single complaint I have is after wearing the headphones for 4-5 hours my hears begin to hurt around the sides from the arms of my glasses being pressed in to them. Hardly a fault of the headphones as the mild pressure increases the sound deadening around you. I have found myself at times just wearing the headphones with no music playing to drown out the office noises around me.

I am here now writing this review because I have a need for another set of headphones for home and will be buying a second pair of these.

The Best Headphone I ever had

I had these for about 7 years now, and have yet to find another head phone with the similar sound quality. I was in the market recently to purchase another headphone for office use, too bad it is currently not available on Amazon so I took a gamble with
JVC HANC100 Noise Cancelling Headphones retails originally retails for $149 but on sales for about $45. Amazon indeed had the best price for this set of head phones. I just received these head phones today, and boy was I dissapointed, the sound quality wasn't too bad but when you put it next to my Denon AHD 210. It was just no comparison. The JVC unit had much more bass and the back ground sound was weak. Basically you'll hear the artist's voice more than a good balance of back ground singer, etc.. The cord looked like a tooth pick in comparison to this AHD-210 unit which is double stranded. I even let couple of my family members listen to it, they immediately confirmed what I had said. I am very dissapointed and actually already packed the JVC unit to return to Amazon so I can get the Denon AHD 550 (50mm driver) since AHD 210 is not available. Oh one more thing the JVC cord was a mere 4.9 feet versus the 3 meters that AHD 210 provides. I love this head phone the 3 meters is great when I attach it to my Sharp Aquos for when my baby is sleeping. Can't do that when you have measly 4.9 feets. I am convince these Denon head phones are the best, I just never understood why other folks have so much fan fare about JVC or that Sennseiser brand, who gives about Noise Cancelling feature when the sound quality is that bad.
