Lots of play in this

My sons are aged 8 and 4 and they have loved this toy. I really like Playmobil because of the level of attention to detail that's put into the design. This boat was easy to put together (more so than other Playmobil toys we've had) and is very robust (it even goes in the bath!).

This set comes with four people, life jackets, an inflatable mattress, even food and plates and cutlery (which pack away under the beds when the boat is out on the water). Do be aware that some of the parts are very small. There is a sink with a tap and even a toilet with a lid that raises and lowers. There are four beds. The anchor goes up and down (the one flaw I've found with this is that it doesn't stay on the rope very well). The top of the boat lifts off so that you can get at what's inside.

My boys have spent literally hours playing with this set and it's so nice to see them participating in imaginative play rather than slumped in front of the television!

One other thing that impresses me about Playmobil is their customer service. We bought the airport set last year and one of the suitcases wouldn't close. I emailed Playmobil and within a week a replacement part had arrived in the mail, beautifully packaged.

All he wanted for Christmas

After seeing this at a toy store, this was #1 on the wish list for our 6 yr old this Christmas. Lots of tiny pieces, but the boat and accesories really are great. The boys loves to create lots of make-believe scenarios with this and our other playmobil toys. Shipment arrived promptly and safely.

Yachting is fun

My son received an Amazon gift certificate for his birthday. He loves Playmobil toys, so I found all the Playmobil toys available and sorted by price so he could find something to buy with his gift certificate -- this is what he chose, and he just loves playing with it. There are a lot of small pieces, so we are careful not to take them into the bathtub or to the beach with the yacht. (Note that even if we do lose pieces, Playmobil has replaced other lost pieces from other sets for us at no charge!)

This year's vacation will be exciting. The family has chartered a streamlined motor yacht which is fitted with a modern kitchen, a toilet and a shower. The children on their life vests and the yacht sets out. In a picturesque bay dad stops the engine and lowers the anchor with the winch. The family gets into the wonderfully cool water, using the practical ladder at the rear of the yacht, and they have fun on the airbed. After that they are all very hungry and are glad that mom has already prepared a tasty snack in the kitchen. After the meal the parents relax on the spacious sun deck while the children listen to music on the radio. Late at night, all four of them sink into their soft beds exhaustedly.
