SUPERIOR A/V RECEIVER

BUY IT, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED! Received for Christmas and could not believe the quality of sound emanating from my 10 + year old Bose speakers. Researched Yamaha extensively and would put this in the same league as the RX-V models of last year (for half the price). Warm regards!

Incredible Receiver!

This receiver is all you will ever need. I hooked it up using 7.1 system, and WHAM! Unreal sound! There are also a variety of sounds to choose from depending on your inputs, THX, ON / OFF & "wide mode", all the standard DSP modes- game, hall,etc. and the latest in Dolby-Pro, Pro Logic II+, and a new NEO-6 which converts 2-channel to 5.1 automatically. I test drove it with "Empire Strikes Back" DVD, and I swore I was in a Loews theater. What is also great is that you can use it to switch all video inputs- Cable / Sattelite, DVD player, VCR, Playstation, with a touch of the remote. Easy to set-up and learn. Outstanding for the price! Best Buy sells similar units of 6.1 for $900+. A real no-brainer!

Kenwood VR-9070, an outstanding update!

After almost 30 years my monster technics quad receiver went up in smoke. Since I haven't messed with buying a receiver for decades I realized I was way out of date on my electronic decision process. After an intense weekend of many internet searchs and product reviews this unit seemed to me to be a great find for the money. I received this unit - set it up - and have not been disappointed at all. ( I have gone nuts and replaced speakers, added a huge sub woofer, since I decided to run all my other components through this receiver for complete home entertainment and tv surround sound.) I find this receiver to be an outstanding update compared to my previous receiver that I paid about the same price years ago. I think you'll really like it.
