another five star review for this grill

i have had this grill for about 3 months now. i have used it about twice a week and my propane bottle is still going. starting the grill is as easy as dumping in your coals, leaving the propane on for about 5 minutes, and then waiting another 20 for your coals to heat up.

the grill also very efficient with its use of coals, especially when you use the baskets. i have had to adjust the amount of coals i use. and as other reviews have pointed out, if you do have extra coals you can shut the vents and put the lid on when you are done cooking and you will have a nice base of coals waiting for you the next time you use it. i use the coal baskets a lot more than i thought i would. great for indirect cooking... and when you are cooking something that takes a while and you need to add more coals, the baskets start the new coals very quickly.

the ash removal system is great - no messes, easy to use, and it is deceptively large.

i got the dark green color and it looks great out in our courtyard.

you will not be disappointed with this grill!

Best Grill Ever

This grill is an easy 5 stars. I love the thing. I like it so good that when I am not cooking on it I am planning what I will cook next. I love it. I was also a little skeptical about the price. It is worth every penny. I have cooked some delicious meals on this thing. Buy it and you will not regret it. It is very sturdy and easy to put together.

My New Baby

I don't know where to start. I feel like a proud new Father! My new Weber Performer (Green) cooks like a Charm. The gas starter works great. I't's like having a "Hybrid" Charcoal Grill. I'm looking forward to many years of good food cooked on my Weber Grill.

My first Weber, and within 3 Months I own 3 now!

I had a gas grill from Sears 6 years ago and it was an OK experience, I bought an expensive one from BJ's 2 years ago and the same OK experience, this summer I wanted to go back to charcoal since that's what I used to use years ago and I bought a Santa Fe, really bad experience eventhough it had great reviews. After reading reviews on amazon for a couple of days I decided to put out the money and try this performer. I couldn't be happier with this grill, the work table, the charcoal container underneath the table, the gas ignition (but I still prefer to use my chimmny starter), the fuel holders for indirect grilling, and the overall performance of this grill couldn't be better. I found myself grilling for myself on the weekdays just to enjoy the experience of using this grill. When I had a party the grill was the center of the attention but I needed some more room to cook more at the same time so I bought another 22 1/2" gold kettle, a work table, lid holder and it was like having 2 performers. I also got the Rottiserie Kit for the performer and on my next party I was able to grill Rottiserie Chickens on my performer and several Ribeyes on my kettle, it was awesome!
I realised how much charcoal I was waisting by grilling just for myself so I just ordered the Weber Q 220 wich I'll put on my deck next to the kitchen, I'm a total Weber Fanatic now, the customer service is the best also. I'll review the Q in the next couple of days! Happy Grilling!!!

When I first saw this grill on a gold box deal, I just could not believe what people wrote about it... everyone seemed to be pleased with it and talked about how awesome it was.

I didnt get it that time (it sold out really fast) but this last time when I first saw it I just ordered... why??
well the answer is simple:

Most of the people I know buy gas grills because they like the idea of NOT WASTING TIME AND EFFORT lighting a charcoal grill. They rather sacrifice the taste that charcoal gives to your meat by using a gas grill

So what happens when you mix the best of both worlds? you get the performer!
a charcoal grill that uses propane gas to light the charcoal up.... just AMAZING!

I now know why people give this grill 5 stars:
its easy to use, very VERY robust design and it performs like no other

So if you are in the market for a grill, look no further! this is the one you are looking for!
