Whats with all the hate!

Me and my mom (Kathleen) love this movie! We liked it better than Finding Nemo. Peaple fail to realize this isn't completely a kids film!

First off peaple need to stop comparing or calling this a rip-off of Finding. I don't know where this comparison is coming from. The stories aren't even alike. If peaple are gonna say DW riped-off Pixar than they should also say Pixar riped-off DW with the wild which looked like another version of madagascar to me.

Second why are peaple complaining about the propaganda in the movie. Its a underwater version of New York for peeks sake! In New York theres signs and stuff everywhere. Welcome to the real world! Oscars face is everywhere too because its showing how famous hes become.

Third peaple claim theres no message. There is a message. didn't they notice how unhappy Oscar became? ITs because dispite living his dream of being rich and famous hes not happy. Hes also unhappy because his lie is getting out of control and it put Angie in danger. Theres also a message of accepting your child no matter how different they are. In other words Lenny's vegitarian lifestyle (could be a metaphore for homosexuality). In the end Leno accepted his son dispite not liking his choices.

Next, don't get me wrong I like pixar and Dreamwork movies, but stop complaining about ST being unrealistic. Its a dang animated movie with talking fish so is Nemo! Peaple say the fish in shark tale don't look like fish, but Who the heck cares! Not all animated movies are gonna make its animals anotomically correct. Nemos not realistic either: a father fish goes to the human world to save his son with the help of vegetarian sharks, a bird who would normally be eating him, and turtles who also would normally eat him. They all talk too.

Last, -This is mostly directed to peaple on IMDb- stop critisizing peaple who like this better than Nemo. I think these are peaple who automatically shun animated movies that aren't pixar. I'm 19, in high school, and a honor roll student, so just because I love this movie it automatically makes me retarded?

Now that I've let off my frustration all I have to say is give this movie a chance if you don't like then ok don't watch anymore. If you love it buy it like I did and watch whenever you like. if your kids love it just remember that its PG and its not as bad in content as peaple try to make it seem. IF you don't believe me watch the brave little Toaster or NIHM (very good movies) and you'll see content that'll give kids nightmares.

Oscar is a fast-talking little fish who dreams big. But his big dreams land him in hot water when a great white lie turns him into an unlikely hero. At first, his fellow fish swallow Oscar's story hook, line and sinker and he is showered with fame and fortune. It's all going along swimmingly, until it starts to become clear that Oscar's tale about being the defender of the Reef is all wet. Oscar is finding out that being a hero comes at a Market Price when his lie threatens to make him the Catch of the Day. Now he has to tread water until he can get the scales to tip back in his favor again. This movie is a solid family entertainment to enjoy.

My two shark loving boys LOVE this fun and entertaining dvd. It's a heartwarming story as well as an action packed adventure with all kinds of sharks and sea life. My husband and I enjoy the adult references too.
