Great Shaver!

I'm a newbie to electric shaving. I should say, almost a newbie. I've tried the rotary type shavers a few times in the past but generally went back to a blade razer within a week. Two weeks ago I decided to give it a try again and bought a Braun travel shaver at the local pharmacy. I was impressed with it! This was my first foil-type razer and I really liked shaving with it. I began to read up on better shavers and based on price and features, decided to go with the Braun 5885. I'm so impressed I'm actually shaving every day, something I'd never done in my 37 years of shaving regularly (I'm 53y/o). This shaver is comfortable to use and the longer I use it, the closer the shave gets to that from a blade razer. I do think the shape of the openings improve the ability to get stray hairs that grow in different directions. I've had fewer of these strays since I got the Braun 5885 than I had with the Braun travel shaver. Overall, I can't think of any negatives, only positives, and actually look forward to shaving!

Braun shaver

Shaver is great. Got it for my son and he loves it. I've had a Braun for the past 20 yrs. Having it washable w/ water is a plus. Wish it came with the foil cover but had to buy that separately. Oh well. Quality is great.

Purchased this shaver as a gift for my husband. It was an exceptional value and he is very pleased with the smooth, comfortable shave he gets.
The ability to wash the screen and head makes cleaning it so easy and, after a few seconds with with his blow dryer, it's dry and ready to put away.
