Good enough

It does its job. The sound quality is not the very best, but it's good enough. For the price, it's a nice answering machine. What really surprised me is that if you make the outgoing message right, people WILL hit the number for the mailbox they want, so it's pretty much guaranteed that any messages in mailbox one (the default if the caller doesn't specify) will be junk.

I have had numerous answering machines that I need for my business, but I specifically wanted one with 2-3 mailboxes for multiple users. Other ones I purchased were all inclusive with a phone and repeatedly they would all break after about one year. I have this one for only 2 months, but it works great, sound quality is good and if I have trouble with the cordless handsets I don't have to relace the whole unit and interrupt all my phone messages.

Versatile machine at a great price

The digital answering machine this machine replaced was a piece of junk compared to it. This one has multiple voice mail boxes and two outgoing messages you can switch between. The quality of the recording is good too. You can set how long a message the caller can leave, number of rings before the machine picks up and a security code if you pick up messages from the answering machine on the road. Now let's see how long it lasts.

Wonderful Answering Machine

I debated between a three mailbox machine and a four mailbox machine but this one took my vote hands down. It's perfect for us, the set up is easy and we are able to retrieve messages from other locations at the touch of a button. The messages stay on the machine after we retrieve them in case we missed something. When we get home, there they are. It's perfect for families with 3 members, each can have their own security code to retrieve their messages. It works well with our caller id as well. I would recommend this GE Digital Answering Machine to everyone.
