High tech sporttools

I own the Navman for Walking and purchased the Navman for Watersports for a friend. They are based on the same technology but use different algorithms so they are tailored for the application. The technology is GPS technology, and the Navman works by triangulating your position with GPS satelites which then allows you to track the time and the direction of your move and hence your speed and heading. My friend thinks it will help him from getting lost because it will tell him how far he has gone and the heading so getting back should be intuitive. I hope so. It also records averages and his performance for up to 50 laps and as a serious athelete he finds that helpful.

The Navman for Walking is not dependent on good wind or good weather so I have used it extensively and I use it everyday. It performs well and is surprisingly durable. It nudges me to keep my speed and distance up.
