Great product

I shopped the internet for this product and could not believe the price. Great deal and the product works great

Finally XM in my Dodge Caravan

The Dealer told me they couldn't install this kit because it would replace my dvd player. This kit has a bypass so both can be installed (or a cd changer instead of the dvd). Installation was easy (once I figured out how to get the dash cover off). System works great and can't be beat for the price.

Doesn't Work With RB4 Navigation

It took Amazon 2 trys to get me the right product. At first they just sent me the interface. Had to email them, then they sent me the XM tuner and antenna.

Pulled out the RB4 factory navigation radio out of my HEMI Ram and hooked everything up. Hit the mode button and the screen came up on XM channel and I heard the preview channel. The only problem was I couldn't change the channel. Something with the interface doesn't control all the functions. As a test I pulled the RB4 and installed an RAZ factory CD/Tape deck and it worked perfect. Oh well...If only it worked with the navigation. It is a very cool product. Installed super easy and sounds way better than the XMs that run through the FM tuner.

XM Rocks

My wife and I bought a Chrysler Pacifica and it came with Sirius service. We had XM on previous vehicle and liked it much better. This is SO much better than the factory system. you can view the artist, channel, title of song. (you do have to use the favorites on the actual radio). The buttons on the steering wheel still work. It took me about Half a day to instal as you have to route the antenna wire from the back of the car and this requires removing some of the interior car panels. A socket set and screwdriver is really all you need. you will need to get online and spend about 10 bucks for the instructions on how to remove the radio (for a Pacifica anyway) All of the boxes fit behind the radio. I attached them with zip ties.

Worked like a charm and the price was great.

My 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 has a RBQ radio which has a 6 disc CD changer. My girlfriend has XM in her Solstice and loves it and wanted to get me XM radio for my birthday. I was concerned about changing out the radio because it has some good features, including the CD changer. We went to Circuit City and found out about XMDirect. They didn't have the adapter for Chrysler/Dodge and said they couldn't order it because of the Sirius and XM merge, obviously XM isn't shipping any additional equipment to the stores until the merge is completed, but they did say that they would install it for $50 if we found a kit. We started searching online and most of the kits were $250. We went to Ebay and found the complete kit for $49. We received the kit and it was new, still sealed in the box. Took it to Circuit City and within 2 hours it was installed. Contacted XM online and put in the Radio ID that was on the box and bingo...XM. You can also find the Radio ID on channel 1 on my radio.

The RBQ still works exactly like it did before XM except that when you press mode it now includes XM. I like the way the radio continuously scrolls the song title, artist and channel on AM and FM stations but it doesn't do this on XM. It scrolls the song title once then goes back to the main screen which is a partial song title. You can press the tune button to scroll throught the title, artist, etc. This could be a limitation of XM and not the XMDirect unit because the Solstice doesn't scroll either.
