ONE GREAT FAN!!

This fan was in a cabana I rented for a day by the pool on a day in Florda that hit 93 degrees...I thought I actually had air conditioning outdoors. This fan is QUIET, you can use the oscillation or not. It has 3 speeds (low, med or high). It is quiet at all speeds. It truly made a hot, humid day very comfortable. I tried locating this fan at local stores and couldn't find it, so I was excited to see Amazon had it for sale. You will not be disappointed. It is about $20 more expensive than similar models, but I actually tested this one in the cabana and I was sold. You are not going to regret it!!

This fan replaced a tower fan from Lasko that I had for years. This new model is fantastic and QUIET. It is so powerful that I have not set it above low. Great product... great price.

Cleaning Your Lasko High Velocity Blower Fan

I love this fan alot. I recommend it all the time to others. After having the one I currently have for only a couple months however, the squirrel cage had become embedded with dust from the air. I had noticed performance (the amount of air coming from the fan less and less) due to the dirt/dust in the fan blade. Lasko does not explain any way for consumers to be able to clean this fan except getting a vacuum hose and going around the two round air intakes on the side with it. Well, lets face it; that alone is not going to remove the dirt deeply embedded in the squirrel cage fan blade of your Lasko high Velocity Blower Fan. Once you notice performance declining look inside the air intakes; if you can hardly see the fan blade, but you see dust and dirt all over it instead. My cleaning steps are as follows:
Get a Phillips screw driver and remove the three screws on each circular air intake screen cover. Set both air intake screen covers with all six screws aside in a safe place where they wont get lost stepped on or broken. Find a soft rug to set the fan down on it's side. Get a broom with long soft to medium courseness plastic bristiles. DO NOT USE A STRAW BROOM AS THIS WILL MAKE EVEN MORE OF A MESS AND YOU WILL HAVE BROKEN PIECES OF STRAW FALLING IN THE FAN. Do not use any wet rags or cleaning agents in this area of the fan.
Gently take the plastic long bristle broom and stick the bristles down in the fan blade brushing the dirt from in between each groove out and away from the fan. Rotate the blade slightly and repeat this process on both sides until you can see most all of the dirt brushed away from the fan blade. Once finished retrieve the two air intake cover screens and the six screws to put back on the fan. Each air intake will fit on it's own side and will have a post sticking out which goes into a hole near the back part of the fan. Put the post of each screen cover into it's hole making sure that the screw holes in the cover line up with those surrounding the fan blade on the fan's housing. Screw the screws back into place, dust the outside of your fan off, vacuum up the huge mess of dirt off your carpet or if it is an rug you can take outside, shake off the mess from it and you are done. Your fan will work as if it were new again!

Fantastic Fan!

This fan may be a little pricey considering that you can pick up a fan nowadays for around 20 bucks...but I have got to say...this fan kicks butt!! I ordered one online last summer since my occilating fan gave up the ghost mid season and it was near to impossible to find any fans in any store...I was hesitant because of the price, but living on the 3rd floor of a brick building, I needed it desperately...top floor has it's advantages, but it's like living in a brick oven come summer...anyways, the fan arrived and I was amazed at how well it worked...it's quiet and it really blasts the air around and with the air on, it circulates the cool air everywhere. I highly recommend this fan if you want a good quality product!!

Workhorse Wonder

We purchased this same fan at another store a couple years ago. I've been searching for the same model and fortunately Amazon had it.

We immediately submitted an order, paid the expedited shipping, as this fan is worth its weight in gold, so to speak.

We've been running the fans on low (as that's all we need to keep cool), to help boost the air conditioning, as we keep the register set at 78 degrees F. The fans make the room seem so much cooler as you do get an arctic blast meaning there is a real breeze. Not a whimpy breeze a REAL breeze that keeps everything cool.

Amazingly this fan is quiet while being the workhorse wonder of the fan world.

I'd buy more but two of these fans keep my house plenty cool.
