Excellent tool for the job

I was terrified of cleaning the sensor in my digital SLR (Canon EOS 20D) and put it off for too long. Then I found the Artic Butterfly and my problems were solved. The only real issue with this device is resisting the temptation to sweep the sensor while the brush is oscillating (the oscillation is only used to electrostatically charge the bristles so that dust particles are attracted to them). Follow the directions and charge the bristles and give the sensor a wipe and the dust is removed from the camera (not just swept to the edge of the sensor).

Worked very well

When my Nikon D70s DSLR was new, it already had some dust on its sensor, which was noticeable in pictures taken with aperture smaller than f/9.

I tried cleaning the sensor with a blowbulb first, but some dust specs would not come off. After some research I decided to buy the Arctic Butterfly. The first sweep I did was as gentle as possible, however two or three tough spots remained. I ventured into a second, more insisting sweap. After that all dust was gone.

This was one year ago. I haven't used the Arctic Butterly again, simply because my sensor has stayed clean since then.

I would recommend this product.
