So far, so good

Yessiree, this stapler sure does staple! It is lightweight, doesn't feel cheap, and as soon as I disable the safety I'll be a stapling mofo. I'm kidding about disabling the safety! I think that using needle nose pliers to pull a staple out of your index finger should be a one time deal. No more, no less.

Fan of the 9600

Right out of the box, I used it all day reupholstering 6 dining chairs. Over all, it worked well, little to no recoil, unlike some nail guns. There were a few misfires, but I think that was due more to the off brand staples I used. **One caution - the staples that were in the "frequently purchased" line, included the Surebonder 300-38-5M and 300-516-5M, which indicated to me those were the staples I needed. I should have read closer, because they weren't the right staples, and simply did not fit the 9600. That's why I was using an off brand from a big-box store.** Otherwise, for this novice re-upholsterer the 9600 is a nice staple gun, and I would purchase it again.

I bought this to replace my Craftsman Electric Staple Gun, which I have used in the past for stapling motorcycle seat covers, needless to say my old electric always required you to push hard and hope to get a positive penetration(which happened about 25% of the time) Well I just did a seat cover with my new pneumatic gun and this thing kicks ass, made installing the seat cover a breeze. Oh ya, and the price was pretty reasonable too. I usually never leave reviews, but felt I had to with the results I got. Just in case someone is looking for an alternative for doing MC Seat Covers.

Light, fun, and efficient

The first one I bought fired too many blanks, then jammed. A staple lodged within the "hammer/pusher" and despite repeated attempts, I could not remove it. I sent the unit back for a replacement. The second unit has operated flawlessly, using the same staples as the first (Arrow 3/8" T50s). I use the Surebonder with a 1-hp, 1 gal Senco compressor (PC-1010) to staple photos-on-canvas to stretcher-strip frames. It has turned a tedious job into one of fun and efficiency. This item would have got 5 stars had not the first one been faulty.
