Amazing curling iron!

I can not believe how this curling iron easily curls my hair. Before I bought this curling iron I would use my hot tools curling iron. There is no comparison! I think the tourmaline and ceramic material reallys makes the big difference. My hair could never hold a curl. I used this curling iron with just a leave in conditioner and my hair stayed curly for the whole day. I also love the fact the hair easily slides of when you release the clamp which reveals a nice curl. I highly recommend this curling iron! And for the price you really are getting your money's worth. I bought mine at Wal-mart for just $19.88. I have the 1" barrel which works best for my hair length which is a couple of inches below the shoulders. I did not give it 5 stars since the power button is in a place where you can easily switch it off. This does not bother me though since I am already amazed how I can finally curl my hair so easily and quick.

I was a bit hard to convince that a curling iron could make my hair shiney. WOW it is true you see it happen right away. It is gentle on the hair and makes it so smooth and shiney. Really hard to believe until you see it with your own eyes.

This is the best price around.

Good but with some flaws

I've been looking around for a good tourmaline ceramic curling iron and went with this one for now because of the low price. I do like it and as far as I can tell it does not seem to damage my hair. Maybe in the future I'll go with a pricier one but for now this one seems to do just fine.

Pros:
- heats up fast and has different heat settings
- the protective cover comes in handy
- can't beat the price
- tourmaline ceramic - better than just ceramic or
worse, bare metal
- looks nice
- swivel cord
- auto shut off

Cons:
- the on/off switch is in a bad spot on the handle.. I
am constantly shutting off the iron by accident
- the cool tip is not long enough to hold onto, making
it easy to burn your fingers
- I honestly have not had this iron more than a week
so I can't say there aren't more cons but I'll
update this if I do find any

A bit inconveniently designed

This curling iron seems to work fairly well, though I don't have much to compare it to. However, the on/off button is inconveniently located at a spot on the handle that's very easy to press by accident. I keep accidentally turning it off while using it.

Great overall

I've had it for a week now and I love it how light it is and how fast it heats up - comparing to a Revlon that I had before. The heat spreads evenly and it slides smoothly out of the curl. The only con I find it is that the buttons are too easy to press and I constantly turn it off as I am curling my hair just by accidentally touching the on/off button or change the temperature. Unfortunately the buttons are located where your thumb would usually get a grip so I wish it was a dial button instead of this easy to press one but besides that, great product!
