Great Bike Tool

What a wonderful gift for the bike enthusiast! The tools make it easy to make adjustments to your bike.

some what good...

Well i received the tool kit the other day and had a chance to use it today, so far i'm liking it, it seems like it should last me some time there are only a few things that i do not like about it:
It's kinda small i was hoping it was bigger
The two spoke wrenches don't seem to fit my spokes... i have a 26" mongoose (the tires are pretty wide i think they are like 2.35" at least)

overall i'd buy it again, its probably alot more expensive to buy all the tools seperate, but then they'd probably last longer this this will.

A couple negative observations:

1. The knife has a lock thing that prevents it from opening (or closing) unless you press down on the tab on the back side of that half of the tool. I find this kind of irritating, because i'm not very strong and that tab thing is kind of hard to push. (It also requires you to take the tool apart, because you can't reach the tab otherwise.) I assume this was done for safety reasons, and i don't use the knife THAT much, but the tool would have gained a few points if it didn't have this 'feature'.

2. The tools themselves seem quite sturdy, but the plastic body does not. There have been several times where i was tightening a bolt or something and i felt the plastic flex in my hand. It worries me -- i'm afraid it's going to break some day. I suppose using plastic keeps the tool lighter and cheaper, but it still bothers me a little.

3. I don't like the little removable spanner thing, it's so tiny that i can't foresee it ever really being useful to anyone. The middle holes in particular seem especially worthless, there's just no way you can possibly get any leverage on the thing when you're using it like that.

All that said, there has only been one bolt/screw/nut on my bike that this tool HASN'T been able to handle (the nut that locks the angle of the saddle in place, which was too big for any of the spanners on the tool), and over-all i quite like it. It's definitely more convenient than having to keep track of all the individual tools.

Nifty Little Tool

I really can take a whole bike apart and put it back together. The only thing that's hard on it is getting enough leverage to do the really big tightening or loosening jobs. That just requires a completely different socket wrench with a longer handle. But all in all, it does what it needs to do,

Nice tool

I reviewed the wrong tool befor. This is the tool I bought. Well made, and when I got a new bike it had everything on it I needed for assembly. Nice to have on the road if you need it.
