Overall a good water bottle

I purchased two of these bottles just about a year ago. The insulation is great; it really will keep water cold all day long. I never once had any leakage from either of the bottles, and I used one or the other nearly every day all day long while at work, usually just tossing them in my purse before I left. Now that I've had them for so long, the opening mechanism is starting to deteriorate; the button still works, but it requires more force than when I originally purchased the bottles. There is also some discoloration on the rubber disc on the inside of the lid that helps prevent any leaks.

These bottles are also easy to clean...if you're not opposed to hand-washing them. I've had several other types of less expensive aluminum bottles, and most of them had much smaller openings, preventing the user from adequately cleaning it and allowing mold to grow on the inside of the bottle. Mold was not a problem with Thermos' Nissan.

The only other nit-picky comment I have about this product is that the bottle, when opened, makes a fairly loud, annoying popping sound. If you are going to use it as I did (near computers, with the lid closed as soon as I was finished sipping), you're going to be hearing this sound A LOT. I can hear it in my head now.

Great Bottle

This is a great water bottle. Not a lot of capacity if you are working outdoors or playing sports, but it really stays cold for hours. I can fill it with ice and water, leave it in the hot car for hours and come out to an ice cold drink. Pets, bugs, or whatever, I don't want them in my water so I use this bottle constantly for ice water around the house too. I fill it several times a day and pop the lid constantly for a sip. I've had it at least 3 years and it still works fine with no leaks. I like the one-hand operation, great in the car, great for fishing or working in the yard. I'm totally happy with it. I am buying two more for longer trips. I think it's a better solution for me than messing around with a screw top and cups with a larger bottle.

It really does keep ice for an amazingly long time. I have used the Nissan mugs for a long time, one for cold, one for coffee. They are pretty good but this blows them away. Like it so much I bought 3 more, one for each member of the family. Might not be a great design for hot liquids. The opening is a better design for guzzling rather than sipping but if you're careful I guess it could work.

Like the other reviewers have said, this bottle really does keep materials cold for hours and hours. i left it sitting inside my black interior car for an entire day and when i came back, the water inside was still ice cold! highly recommended!

Great Thermos

I have had it for about two years. It keeps my water cold for very long even in a hot car while running errands. I also appreciate the locking feature to prevent spills. I LOVE this thermos. I have since bought one for my husband and Dad. They love it too.
