Works as Advertised

This product is great. I had it up and running within 5 minutes. I have FiOS internet and its as fast as if my computer was connected directly to the router. I used to use the wireless card with very mixed results. Yesterday I was dowloading at 17kb/sec, today 1.43mb/sec. Also, my computer is 3 stories away from the location of the router. Couldn't be more happy.

No Configuration, Only a Little Slower than Wireless

Plan on using it with the Vudu video box. Love the plug-n-play/no configuration. I thought about getting a wireless bridge/adapter for the Vudu, but didn't want to deal with the hassle of setup (had one before, hated setting up the encryption key). Only complaint so far is it's a little slower than my wireless network (as tested on my laptop). My laptop's wireless "g" network card gets about 5000 kbps (DSL limited). The NETGEAR gets 4000-4700 kbps, or about 80 to 93 percent of the wireless speed.

true plug and play. fast. i found it interoperates fine with the earlier model (which I guess is slower): i just pop in the wireless extender in any room I want to have connectivity in, pop it out and take it with me if I like. I use it with a linksys router for hassle free IP and connectivity anywhere I need it. highly recommended

Wonderful product

This product installed easily and extended the range of our wired network quickly. I was able to plug in a wireless router on the other end to get better coverage throughout the house by putting it in a more central location. The transmission speed (85 or so mbps) is better than standard 802.11g (54 mbps) wireless. The wireless router only comes on for using wireless only devices like the wii since our computers/laptops are all old and don't have wireless cards in them. A little more peace of mind given the speed in which WEP can be hacked.
