I bought this for my fixed 50mm f/1.8 II and it works great once attached to the lens. The problem, however, is that there are no threads on the front of the hood for attaching a filter or even the lens cap to. Thus, the hood must be taken off anytime a filter needs to be changed or when you just want to put the lens cap back on! Quite frustrating. This rotating lens hood is designed for digital cameras with either built-in or interchangeable zoom lenses.
