excellent must have
The
Forever
Knight
Trilogy
is an excellent dvd. It is a shame that the series was not cintinued. It had a very entertaining subject matter and was very well mixed with modern takes of the vampirical theme. I thoroughly enjoyed the series when it ran and am very happy that they put it on dvd. thanks ever so much. I would give it more stars than five but that is only me. I would like to see more of this type of movie.
Great Show, Ahead of its time
This was a very good show that has been copied many times over the past few years. Although the special effects aren't always the greatest, the story will keep you coming back for more. A must have for any fan of the vampire genre.

Forever Gone
The third and final season of
Forever
Knight
begins with a bang... and an almost entirely new cast. After the first season, we lost Captain Stonetree, who was replaced by Captain Cohen. Jeanette disappears during the second season (but does return for a short time in the final season, with an amazing secret). Now, we lose Schanke and Cohen as season three opens.
Schanke's replacement as Nick's
part
ner is the inexperienced new detective Tracy Vetter, who also happens to be the daughter of the police commissioner. A lot of the seasons brightest moments are found with Nick hiding the fact he's a vampire from Tracy, while Tracy tries to hide the fact she has discovered the existence of vampires from Nick. There's a whole new group of younger, hipper vampires introduced, including the charming Vachon, with whom Tracy becomes infatuated. One of the highlights of the season is the episode Ashes to Ashes, where we learn how LeCroix became a vampire. The plot-lines remain imaginative and intriguing, but with all of the new characters, the continuity suffers. In spite of the many changes, the show retained it's five star quality, though I rated the set with four stars due to the lack of extra features.

I'm very grateful to Amazon for having this set of Forever

episodes. I saw this episodes in the mid 90's, and I think that I'm lucky to be able to buy the last season of Forever Knight in Amazon. These episodes have profound existential philosophical messages. The writers of these episodes used the vampire story as a metaphor to give messages on immortality vs. humanism, power vs. love, survival of the fittest vs. sacrifice, and overall, redemption.
What happend to commentarys?
I'm disappointed there was just music videos and no commentaries. I am however happy that i have this on DVD now. I think that the story told in season 3 was better than season 2. There is alot more excitement and a better verity of crimes that take place. It really is sad that this is the last season. There will never be a vampire show quite as good as this.
