Works like wonder

This keyboard/mouse combo works like wonder.

The keys feel very comfortable to the touch and do not stick at all. The programmable function keys come in very handy in launching applications and navigating through the most frequently used programs.

The range was good. I connected my laptop to my TV that's about 10 feet away from the couch and there was no interference in reception at all. The keyboard is very reliable and I did not experience any missing strokes. I frequently write codes in Microsoft Excel using VBA and reliability was critical. This set has performed flawlessly.

I was a little hesitate when I saw the two little buttons on the mouse as they appeared to be located in a very sensitive area of the mouse button and could be mistakenly pressed during use. But it turns out that was not the case. They do not get in the way of me holding the mouse comfortably without having to make an effort to avoid pressing them. But when you need them to for back/forward control, it is very convenient to have them there.

Overall very good value for the price and quality is outstanding. Highly recommended.

good, could use more added features

Bought the Logitech cordless desktop LX710 and now I am sending it back. Easy to set up and start using. 2 things for me. Mouse was to small for me. Not that I have big hands but after a while my hand started to bother me. 2nd thing The cap lock-no light or anything to show you are using CAPS or not. Usually not a problem but when you are typing a password-case senitive-no way of telling it was in caps or not. Lots of error messages for me. Small I know but a factor for me. Shop around I thought the price was a little high.

Clean, efficient, great for gaming.

Pros: very good-looking keyboard, love the feel of the keys, the programmable buttons are sort of a plus (though I have yet to find a use for the image-manipulation set on the left side), and I'm experiencing absolutely zero problems. My "Team Fortress 2" scores have noticeably improved since getting this (my last keyboard was this godawful Belkin monstrosity the size of a cafeteria tray), so I think gamers can purchase without worry. Just make sure there's nothing heavy, metal or electromagnetic between keyboard and receiver and you should be fine. It even comes with a USB extension cord so you can place the receiver wherever it works best.

Cons: I don't really have a use for the mouse, and wish I could have just paid for the kb. However, it turns out I can order a spare receiver from Logitech for $10, so I may do that so I can use the mouse with my laptop or on a different PC. The keyboard is slightly smaller than standard, may feel cramped for some people, definitely took some adjustment for me.

If Logitech made this to run on Bluetooth without sacrificing performance or jacking up the price too much, it would have been the perfect keyboard for me. Still, that's like the difference between an A+ and an A++. This is a terrific value, especially since I got mine for $52 (including shipping).

I recommend this keyboard for personal use

I've had this keyboard for about 2 weeks and have no complaints. I first had XP and now have Vista, but it works equally well with both. My room is fairly small so I have no idea what the range is on the wireless. I know it functions fine at less than 8 feet.

Keyboard

Pros:

Programmability. There are 18 buttons that can be programmed! F1-12, search, email, voip, photo, music, and sleep. All the buttons other than the sleep button can be programmed with any executable file, which means it's very flexible. The sleep button can only be changed to another system shutdown/sleep option. There are also volume up/down/mute buttons located at the middle of the keyboard. I have programmed 16 of 18 buttons.

Comfort. I have used other keyboards that are as comfortable, but I have no complaints so far. After two weeks, I have experienced no sticking. I am finishing up grad school and have become accustomed to typing frequently and briskly. I have no complaints in terms of typing.

Cons:

Not for beginners. If you are not very comfortable with computers, then this keyboard/mouse is probably a waste of money. The whole point (other than wireless capability) is its programmability.

Home, End, Delete, Page Up/Down buttons. They are not placed in the conventional setup. It has been a little bit of an adjustment and it is still annoying having to search for the End key. I wish they would have just made the keyboard another half inch wider.

Photo and media keys. They are at the sides of the keyboard, which makes it very difficult to move the keyboard while your computer is on without inadvertently pressing the buttons. It's a little annoying having iTunes open every time you try to grab the keyboard.

Keyboard height. My last keyboard allowed me to raise the keyboard about 3/4 inch if I wanted to. Although that is bad for your joints, I liked having the option. This keyboard remains just about flat. It does have lifts, but they are fairly insignificant.

Mouse

Pros:

Programmability. This is for non-gamers. I use my computer mostly for Word, Excel, PDFs, internet, and multimedia - in other words, personal use. If you are like me, you shouldn't need much more than this mouse. The software allows you to program the left, right, scroll, and two other buttons to the left and right of the scroll. For most people, I imagine the default settings will be sufficient on the mouse.

Comfort. I have relatively small hands and this mouse feels great. It is very simple in design and there is very little wasted real estate or movement.

Tracking. Seems good enough for me. Like I said, I use this keyboard/mouse for personal use. No gaming or programming and no extreme use. I do not use a mouse pad b/c I have a wood laminated desk. I have not had any jumping or imprecision. It does what a laser mouse is expected to do.

Cons:

Size: It is a pretty small mouse. If you have big hands, you might want a different mouse.

Programmability. If you need more than 5 programmable buttons, you need a different mouse.

Overall, I have to say that this keyboard has more than met my expectations. I would consider myself fairly computer savvy. I have been using computers extensively for the past 12+ years. I am not a programmer or a heavy gamer, but I do rely extensively on my computer. Even so, ultimately, my computer is a personal computer, not a gaming or working computer. I like the flexibility of the keyboard/mouse combo, but do not need any heavy duty capabilities.

At under $70 though, I don't think you can expect too much (I actually got this for $60 on Amazon, while it was on sale). If you are looking for a wireless keyboard for personal use, I highly recommend this keyboard.
