Good Drive

Does all it should and cheaper than hell for what they are. Over time they do wear out, two years on one and strange clicking noise apparently from electrical problem. These will gradually be phased out for flashmemory, but in the meantime, they look cool, hold a lot of stuff, work very well with apple, they are fast, cheap, good

Purchased this almost 2 a half years ago and its great. It's still alive today. It's great for backing up files, photos, music, and personal home movies. It's compatible to both PC/MAC. It's a good practice to have a secondary external hard drive so that in case the 1st external hard drive goes bad (unretrival data) you have a 2nd one to reply on.

As Promised

I had heard a lot about this specific hard drive, and had heard great things about Lacie in general. Thus far, knock on wood, the drive has been working perfectly. I use it for external storage on a MAC G4 editing Final Cut Pro version 4.1, and it works like a charm. No lag, easy to format and partition, and thus far has given me no problems. I highly recomend it, especially for tasks like video editing.
