As all good SherlockHolmes books, they keep you guess at what is is going on. The at the end it makes you feel silly because it is all just elemetary to the novice. This is a must read and for the price you can't beat it. I am always looking for books along the same type.
Elementary, my dear Watson
This is beach reading at its very best. Anyone who ever marveled at Perry Mason on TV should read this book, the source of Nile for all who love silly wonderful mental gymnastics.
Imagine the perfect collection of stories that can be read while getting your daily quota of sunshine. Each tale takes about fifteen minutes to a half an hour to digest, just long enough to absorb your vitamin-D without endangering your life.
The stories are fun, light and quite logical. Holmes even goes so far as to determine which of the miscreants should suffer jail time and those who've suffered enough through the shame of exposure; if only we could run a society like that.
The writing is crisp and crystal clear, although getting `knocked up' in old London, while shocking to the modern American eye and ear, was a lot less trouble than its modern counterpart, and to be the companion of the good doctor and his brilliant pal even for these dozen doses is great for those suffering through our difficult times.
This is one of the highest and best uses of your Kindle in this summer of discontent.
This download contains a handful of mysteries that can be read independently. Each is a good quick read, and they are great when you have a little bit of time to kill. I would highly recommend SherlockHolmes to everyone.
This is a wonderful e-book. The short stories are perfect for on the go.
I love the stories. They are fun, witty, mysterious, and of coarse Mr. Holmes is a joy to read.
I can't believe the price. This is the best deal (free) I have ever found.
