Works great!

This power strip is working perfectly for us. We have an outlet right next to a very big refrigerator and a toddler who loves to investigate plugs. Because of the toddler, we need to use the plug next to the refridge as it is high on the wall and she can't get to it. This power strip is very flat and does the job we need it to do.

Great product - rotating plug is genius

I bought a couple of these recently from a retailer who shall be nameless. They are low cost and seem to have reasonable quality. I wouldn't bet that their surge suppression is very effective - I just want something that provides more plugs. The plug head rotates so you can use these with the top or bottom plug of a two plug outlet, unlike most power strips - normally if you plug into the top plug socket, the head and cord of the strip blocks the bottom plug socket. Because this head rotates and the head is quite small, you can rotate the cord so it doesn't cover the bottom socket. Also if you need to run a cable vertically up a wall, this will allow you to do that without any trouble.

The only downside to this device is that all the plug sockets on the strip are aligned in the same direction. So if you have a lot of "wall warts" that are not with the bulk of the device *below* the pins, then you'll run out of space rapidly with this device. There are solutions to that and many power strips have this problem, but I thought I would mention it..

Rotating Plug is Great

I really like the rotating plug on the Belkin 6-Outlet Home/Office Surge Protector with Rotating Plug and 8' Cord, because it enables me to plug it in without blocking the other outlet.

The recessed switch is also a nice feature. It is rare that I accidentally turn a power strip off, but when it is near your feet, it certainly can happen.

No problems--works as advertised.

We've had it for several weeks, running a microwave, a coffee maker, and a water boiling pot. As long as only one thing at a time is drawing full power, no problem. It popped its little breaker when we tried to make two things work hard at once--as it should. Nothing has melted or caught on fire. I suppose the people who had problems just had bad luck to get a faulty unit. This one's fine.

Great product.

Works great. The Amazon picture is not correct, the cord is 8 *FEET* long not the 8 inches as is shown. The longer cord is perfect for my needs.
