Faith versus Belief

This book is modeled in the tradition of the old memorial books which were handed down among Jewish-German families. Within these pages a child, or even an adult, of any nationality will discover what life was like for Jewish children and their families living in the FIRST German ghetto, in 15th-century Frankfurt. This tale provides more than a simple cultural history, but also illustrates the values of courage and tenacity, while calling into question the difference between belief and faith. For instance; in the chapter titled "The Bishop and the General" one recognizes there is a great difference between belief and faith. The general recognizes that intellectual assent to a proposition is not the same as placing ones faith upon or in what one claims to believe (faith).
