Great for use in rental vehicles!

Bought this for vacation in a state that doesn't allow window mounting devices. I was amazed at how stable it was even when holding our relatively bulky c580. It stayed put on all the dashes without any sliding. It was a fairly heavy item to pack, but I believe that is necessary for the security it offered as mount.

Good

Great for the Garmen. Doesn't slip off the dashboard. Any suction device doesn't work very well on my vehicle. Also easier to remove from the car and take in the house as many have been stolen lately.

Working great

I have used this in various rental cars and my own and this has performed flawlessly in all cases so far. Better than the suction mount option which frustrated me.

Rental car or 1 GPS for multiple cars, or non-permanent mounting

I have a Garmin Nuvi 660 and... this portable friction mounting works. It makes it easy to port the Garmin to any rental car or the "other" car. If you don't want to permanently mount your GPS to the car or don't want to leave any evidence for potential thieves that you have a GPS, then consider this simple, easy, very portable solution. Recommended!

Great Little Mount

Great product for the price. Sure beats fighting with suction cup mounts or trying to figure out how to remove the adhesive from a permanent mount.

While sitting on my Tahoe dashboard, the mount never slides (although I'm sure that I could make it move doing donuts with my truck). It's easy to hide when not in use, and small enough to take with you (assuming that you're carrying a laptop bag or large purse).

Highly recommended.
