Overall an excellent cream at the price. Everyone will love the cooling effect it gives after the shave.

I know this is for men, but I love using it for my legs!

I bought this for my husband and I grabbed it in a pinch when I was out of shave cream. I love it! I love the clean smell of menthol (I use Noxzema daily as my cleanser, which also has a refreshing menthol smell) and this was great. Good tingly sensation and a nice cooling feeling on my legs during and after the shave. I felt that it was too much for sensitive areas like the bikini line, but on the legs and underarms it works great.

With a double-razor I'm getting a very smooth shave and it seems to moisturize, too.

Conclusion: If you like menthol, this is highly recommended!

The best I have found...

My problem is a heavy, wiry beard coupled with skin that cuts and nicks easily. Since my teen years (longer ago than I want to admit!), I have searched for a shave cream that could deal effectively with this problem. Electric shaves were a disaster. Never finding true satisfaction with the smearing shave cream from an aerosol can method, I switched to a shaving brush a few years ago. The results were not much better until I stumbled across Proraso (and another brand, Men-U). The stuff is great. I use the shaving soap rather than the tube-based cream, but the results are spectacular and the formulas are the same. Cuts and nicks are very rare and my beard comes off smoothly. What's more, it smells good, feels good on the skin, and the skin is refreshed after the shave without that raw, wounded feeling (although I still find after shave essential!). I highly recommend this stuff--it is a bit pricey (when compared to the mass market crap at the drug store), but it DOES work and it IS really different. Parenthetically, I also recommend Men-U shaving cream, also available at Amazon---it is just as good, albeit more expensive.

Although the cooling sensation is great,

Proraso just lathers up too thin and runny. Im having a hard time figuring out how wet my brush should be and how much cream to use. This morning I just said screw it and resorted to what was left of an old jar of Art of Shaving that I had laying around. They want you to use a thick opaque lather and leave it on for at least two minutes...right after the shower with shave oil on, I once again am having the hardest time having this stay on.

The cooling soothed feel you get with a splash or two of cold water is nice, but just wish the stuff lathered up a lil better.

This stuff is the best, especially if you are shaving in the shower

By itself this is an excellent product that makes for an easy smooth shave, feels great, and smells good. The bonus is the way it's packaged. The proper place to shave is in the shower. The next step is to use a shaving brush and some kind of shaving cream. The problem is that most shave creams come in tubs or soap blocks. Those are prone to drying out or getting dropped on the shower floor. Because it comes in a tube, this stuff isn't affected if you happen to leave the cap off or drop it. Beyond that it last's for almost a year making it a tremendous value.
