Great mouse

I didn't have to look at the directions to set this up. A previous review noted the battery hatch pops open. It does on occassion because the black sides (near the rear) act as a dual-sided squeeze release for the battery compartment. I really wouldn't call it a problem, maybe a minor flaw. Fits well in my hand.

Good Mouse But Tiring to Use for Extended Periods

Two flaws prevent this from being a great product. 1. The slant is backwards forcing your wrist to remain in an unnatural position while using the mouse and causes cramps. 2. The battery door is opened by pressing the back sides of the mouse, which I press by accident often. And yes you guessed it the batteries fall out and I am left scrambling to pick up the batteries. I am an admitted klutz, which turns this mouse into a booby trap in my hands.

Nice size and function

Overall its a great and comfortable mouse...the one thing I dislike is that when you squeeze the sides, even gently sometimes, the battery compartment opens up.

Great replacement mouse for the Mac.

So far this is a great replacement for the standard Mac mouse (which quit working properly the first month I got it. Work great. Only drawback is that it is bluetooth connection and whenever you shut down the computer, it looses the connection. This requires a repairing. Problem is, you need the mouse to set up the repairing. I had to reconnect old mouse to do. This is a problem.

Works great with Mac and Windows

I use this mouse with both my personal MacBook Pro and my work IBM Thinkpad T43. It is able to pair with both computers quickly and easily. The optical sensor tracks well over a variety of surfaces. The scroll wheel works both horizontally and vertically, and is recognized in both OS X and Windows.

Battery life is not as good as the Microsoft optical notebook mouse I used to use. That mouse would last about a year on one AA battery. This mouse uses two AA batteries, and they lasted almost 6 months. I do use the mouse of 8-12 hours a day, 4-6 days a week. Bluetooth does seem to use more power than the RF receivers in most portable mice, but I still consider the battery life to be adequate. Four AA batteries a year, when the mouse is used from 32-72 hours a week, is respectable.

One thing to note is that this mouse is larger than most notebook mice, in both length and height. The size is closer to that of a desktop mouse than a notebook mouse. I do not find it to be too large, and I feel the larger size is more comfortable for long periods of use. If space in your bag is at an absolute premium, this mouse may be too large. If not, then I whole-heartedly recommend this mouse.
