Love this mug!

This is the best mug I've ever had. I don't like the usual metal mugs--feel that they alter the taste of the coffee. Also their lids are often hard to secure and drink through so that coffee spills on my clothes while I'm driving. This ceramic mug does not alter the taste of the coffee and has a lid that is easy to secure and drink through without spillage. It is attractive enough to use at home and then take with me when I go out.

Best Mug Ever!

I bought one of these mugs about five years ago for my husband and he has had it attached to his hand ever since. That is up until a few months ago when a car slammed on the brakes in front of him and it flew off the console onto the metal tools laying in the floorboard of his truck and broke. After all the abuse and bouncy truck trips it finally met it's demise. He was more upset about the coffee cup than the guys bad driving. I looked for another one and could not find it in black. It finally popped up on Amazon and I was tempted to buy a few (just in case), but decided against it and just got one. It lasted long enough the first time and I figure the company isn't going out of business anytime soon considering how long they've been around and the fantastic products they make. I have a lime green one and think it is the best mug you can buy. Not only is it functional, it is beautiful. I am weird about drinking out of plastic and the only mug I could find that met my criteria was this one. It's so wide it is very stable and the foam pad on the bottom makes it "stick" to most surfaces so it cannot slide around further increasing it's stability. The only problem my husband has ever had with it is the capacity. He thinks it is too small, but he would carry around a gallon of coffee if I would let him. I think it is the perfect size. Fantastic product!

This is just a nice heavy mug. No insulation mean hot hands and cold coffee. I will give it to a relative and stick with my old Alladin.

Can't Tip This One Over!

A 94 year old relative has suddenly taken up residence in my household, and she loves coffee BIG TIME! She has 5-6 cups a day, and the problem was that with her unsteadiness she is prone to constant spills, which both mess up rugs/furniture and make a potential for her to burn herself. So I needed a 'tip proof' mug for her. I ordered two of these and they fit the bill almost perfectly.

With the bottom wider than the top, and having a rubberized ring on the bottom, it is almost impossible to tip these mugs over and they grip the walker tray nicely so she can move about the house with her coffee in tow without danger. The mugs have a small twist-in insert for the top so that you can practically seal in the contents when walking about, and also aids in keeping the contents hot for a longer period. The mugs are fully safe in the dishwasher, a plus factor.

The only downside is a minor one: since the mugs are thick ceramic they can feel heavy to hold, especially for weaker hands. But all she has to do is pick it up then put her other hand on it too and hold it two-handed as she drinks... which she often has to do with other glasses/mugs anyway, so this is not a big issue.
