Great battery; great value!

I purchased this battery for my Nikon D40 as a backup battery before going on a 2 week trip to Hong Kong. I ended up putting this battery in at the beginning of the trip since it was fully charged and I wanted to see how well it worked (I had my trusty Nikon EN-EL9 fully charged just in case). Absolutely no problem with it. In fact, at 1200 mah, I believe it delivered in terms of slightly more power than the OEM battery at 1000mah. During the two weeks, I took slightly over 800 pictures. I took the battery out before it was fully drained because the battery indicator was coming up.

Don't worry about the fact that it's not OEM Nikon brand. At this price, it's hard to justify buying the OEM brand at 2x or 3x the cost.

This battery at less than half the price of the original Nikon Battery lasts longer and holds a charge longer. I use it with a Nikon D40 camera.Great product.

Works like an OEM battery

I don't know what the problem is when it comes to purchasing non-OEM batteries and electronics. As said many times before, they're all probably from the same manufacturer, just with a different label on them. I use this battery as a back up for my OEM batt., and it works so well that if I don't notice the label, I can't tell which is which. The performance is equal, and I suggest you buy one...or two for yourself.
