Good product

I got the fetal doppler after having one sleepless night worrying about my baby..when all he/she did was kick kick and kick..this was rather early....when i was 22 weeks...when women really Start feeling movemnts..i had started feeling mvts much much earlier...around 4 months...but the extreme range of mvts that happened during my 22weeks left we worried about my baby ... what if it was a cord strangulation or this or dat....anyways...since i am a physician myself...i guess i managed to let my imagination go wild....so i decided to get this bt doppler....i am pretty happy with this lil machine...it is very basic...just what is enuff for home use....shows the Fetal Heart Rate and u can hear the heart sounds...u can distinguish between the placenta ..which has ur own heart rate and from the babies heart rate that is anywhere around 120 to 160...The only reason i deducted one star is because i think there is very little clinical information provided to patients of what to make out of the increase and decrease in Fetal Heart rate...which would definitely allay a moms anxiety....the main purpose of gettin one of these in the first place..].. maybe the fact that i am a physician makes me demand more..but this is what i wud educate my patient who has information which she is going to worry about not understanding....which in my opinion is really not a lot of info...either ways ...it does the job well...does have some disturbances...but nevertheless it comes closest to my gynes doppler...

Besides , the convenience of having this at home at times most needed without needing to rush to the ER is incomparable.

I havent tried the cheaper graco and other models..which looked more like amplifiers and not dopplers...so i really cant comment on that..this one is definitely more expensive..which is also why i can deduct another star...but what the heck..its worth the peace of mind.

will still use it for a few more months till I deliver...will keep u updated...

After some patience on finding the heartbeat, this became a godsend for me. Since having previous complications the doppler set my mind at ease when things didnt feel right. I evan have my friends borrowing it to help my friends relax as well. Great Product............

Fantastic! Easy to use.

My wife and I really found a certain piece of mind being able to hear the baby before we could feel it move. This product was really easy to use, we started around week 13 and have been trying to limit ourselves to only a couple times a week. We found that using the recorder on our cell phone was a great way to capture the sound and share with others.

Nice to have but don't expect to hear anything before 12 weeks

I bought this monitor when I was going into my 10th week; the product states that sensitivity is 10-12 weeks. I tried many times without success to find a heartbeat, which of course is scary. The instruction manual that comes with this is of little help. It doesn't really tell you where or how to start looking for the heartbeat - I ended up finding better instructions on ehow.com. Even after using ehow.com's instructions I was still not able to find a heartbeat in the 10-12 week timeframe. It was not until I reached the 13th week and had my dr. show me where to look using her doppler that I was finally able to slightly pick it up. I believe the monitor is pretty accurate - it shows my HR in the 80's which is probably pretty close. It shows the baby's HR in the 160's. Overall, it's nice to be able to hear the baby's heartbeat whenever I want after having suffered a miscarriage with my first pregnancy - it provides much needed comfort in times of anxiety. But I really question all of these people that reviewed this monitor and claimed to have found the baby's heartbeat at 8 -9 weeks! They are probably hearing their own heartbeat and think it's the baby's. After hours of trying, I could only find it at 13 weeks and after the dr. showed me where to look. This is a nice product but don't get scared if you don't find the heartbeat until after the 12 - 14 week mark. Also, don't bother with the worthless instructions that came with the thing - either look up how to use it online or ask your dr.

Love It!!!

I really enjoy this product!! (When I had gotten it I was 16 1/2 weeks pregnant) It took several minutes to locate the baby's heartbeat, but well worth the money when we heard it. All it takes is very slow and steady movements to reduce static sound, also wait atleast 5 seconds before moving to new spot. I've also found if in one spot try angling the probe it different ways to hear it. I know with me I have to angle it more inward towards the right to hear it. Now i know exactly where to go each time to hear the baby. It doesn't take as long to locate it. I listen to my baby everyday!! :) Also, one more cool thing happened!! I felt my baby move for the first time too while i was testing it out for the first time. I guess my baby was telling me, "Hey MOM! I can feel you poking me!" hahaha Hope that you enjoy this product as much as my husband and i do!!!
