Easy, Works Great!
I use it for my
Nikon
D300
and it works great! It is real easy to use and plug in to the camera. It even has a screw in feature so it is secured to the camera and won't fall out while I am using it or moving the camera around.
It do what it should do
The botton has two states you can first focus (in autofocus mode in camera) and then take the shot, It's made of cheap plastic, I'm still thinking the price is higth but you couldn't find anything cheaper.
It's a little dificult to put the connector in the camera.
Any way it's still a good option, it does what supouse has to do...

Don't let the low price fool you. This shutter release is a
high
quality product. I use it on a
D300
for macro work. By mounting the camera on a tripod and using the mirror lockup mode the pictures are tack sharp. The button works just like the button on the camera. Press it down half way and it focuses, all the way down to take the picture. In mirror up mode I just press the button twice. I still can't believe the low price.

Inexpensive And Works As Advertised
One of the first accessories I needed for my new
Nikon
D300
was a
remote
release, but when I saw the price Nikon was asking for their MC-30 Remote Trigger Release, I decided to see if there were any third-party alternatives.
After a little research, I discovered the 36-
inch
MA-B
unit on Amazon.com. The price was a fraction of what Nikon was asking, and the user reviews were favorable. Deal.
The remote functions as advertised and behaves exactly like the Nikon unit. It even allows for BULB shutter release -- handy for very long exposures (you slide the button with your thumb to lock it into the full-down position).
The only negative I can cite is it feels a bit lightweight and doesn't have the heavy tangle-free cord of the Nikon remote. On the other hand, you are saving a substantial amount of money and unless you seriously abuse it it's likely to last a very long time. Realistically, you could buy 2 having one for a spare, and you'd still be saving money.
I like mine enough that I plan to buy the 196-inch unit as well.

Two-step button switch with lock function. Halfway pressing for auto-focus, complete pressing takes the picture. Lock the button for long exposures or continuous shooting. 100%compatible with mc-30:)
