This glutenfreebreadmix is "wonderful" just like it says in the name.
We use it regularly and sometimes add sun dried tomatoes, fire roasted peppers, black olives, spices, and make a savoury loaf of bread.
Our favorite so far!
My daughter is allergic to wheat, dairy, eggs, and peanuts. So I have tried few other breadmixes, frozen breads or recipes. This one is our favorite. My daughter likes it because: It has a "home made bread" consistancy which is so good right after you cut it. Taste is not too strong, although I have heard some people mentioned about taste of chickpea. It doesn't bother us. You can use it for many things from sandwiches to grilled cheese. I really like it because: I can bake it in the bread machine. I can also use egg replacer. I especailly like that I can make pizza dough with it!! (It freezes well, too!) Over all, we enjoy this product very much. Thank goodness it is available for people with food allergies. Thanks, Bob!!
Taste is not like regular bread. It is edible, but has a little "funk" to it. Pamela's is the best I've had.
Corn Sensitivity Warning
This breadmix does contain corn starch, so be warned about that if you have a corn sensitivity along with gluten sensitivity. We do at our house and it's very tricky to avoid gluten, corn and dairy at the same time with the GF mixes. Pamela's Wheat-Free Bread Mix does not list a corn ingredient, and is a 19 oz bag rather than 16 oz, so we will try that one instead.
Here are the ingredients listed at Bobsredmill[dot]com for this product:
