highly recommended

size matters

This thing is unbelievable. It fits very nicely in my pocket and works flawlessly. Sure, my elastic waist banded shorts are a little baggy and the PS20-2A is heavy enough to send the suckers to my ankles if I run (perhaps to answer the door, sigh), but into every life a little rain must fall.

Wearing a belt is the least of my problems though. A little forethought and there's no issue. I might as well pocket the PS20-2A in the morning because it'll end up there any way. It's too useful and handy.

I guess the only problem is that it's easy to lose. Someone asks to borrow it and suddenly it's in -their- pocket being all handy and useful. With other tools I wouldn't care so much, but it can really bug to go without this thing until it wanders back.

A very good driver

I bought this driver a few weeks back specifically for tackling a flooring job I am doing. The driver is very compact and the lithium batteries are surprisingly small. I was a bit skeptical that this driver would have enough power do take on this job, but it generally is doing well. I am driving 2" coarse thread countersunk screws thru plywood underpayment into the sub floor located 10" apart on a large area. Most screws drive all the way flush with the surface without issue. Occasionally, one will not go flush, even with maximum direct drive torque...an 18V version likely would have taken these screws home without stopping. With two packs, I can almost continuously drive screws, although there are times where I have to wait a few minutes for the second pack to completely charge before swapping out, but not a major delay.

All in all, I am quite happy with the purchase due to the small, compact size and good power. A little more power and a slightly faster recharge time would have earned this driver 5 stars, but it is still a very good product.

My "Goto" Tool

This is a superb portable tool. I use this tool more then any other tool. The wrench free changing of bits is invaluable. I use the drill and screwdriver combination all the time. For instance, recently I installed bunch of handles to kitchen cabinets and also I built a cabinet that used pocket screws (besides the Festool Domino) and this Bosch made it easy. It is light and powerful for light/medium duty work. You may need a more powerful one for heavy duty work. Make sure that the second battery is always recharged to make things easy.

I have only owned it for 3 days but so far it is the best drill I have ever owned. The drill is very well balanced, charges very quickly in around 30 minutes. It also comes with a nice case and two batteries which makes it very handy as a full day drill. Contrary to some of the other reviews it is really easy to replace the drill bits and you can do it with one hand. I particularly have found the adjustable clutch useful and has prevented me from stripping out screws like I used to with my old drill. This drill has just replaced my other lithium ion cordless drill and probably my corded drill as well. A+ Bosch.
