Great Buy, beautiful pics

Good product, It has got 4X optical zoom only, so be careful, don't buy if you are looking for higher zoom, i am not happy with 4x optical zoom, and digital zoom is of no use.

This is an amazing camera for a compact. It gives beautiful detailed pics with absolute amazing colors and nice feature with the image stabalization.
Very happy with this purchase at an amazing price.

New Best Thing!

I have recently purchased 3 of these cameras. I know, three! My mom is not exactly camera savy, and had a camera way too complicated for her! She doesn't have the best eyes, so a good size screen is what she needed. I also got one for my aunt who is an excellent photographer but her previous digital had a tendency to take blurred pictures. I went to school for photography but love my simple point and shoots with a few extra options. All three of us love this camera! My mom has actually shocked me with how well her photos have turned out (she's the type who would take a picture of you and would manage to only get your legs in the top corner of the pic)! The price is also amazing, and the quality of pictures is awesome! I bought the SD 500 for my boyfriend three years ago for more money, and now he wants this one too! I have not had any problems with it yet, and recomment it for everyone, experienced or not!

Love the Canon PowerShot

The camera is small and takes really good pictures. I love that I can put my pictures in folders and I can still zoom while in video mode, which is something I could not do with my previous Sony CyberShot. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is because it doesn't have a battery meter so I never know how much battery power is left.

Fine Camera if you know how to use it

I had a big leap with this camera when compared to my old 4 mp canon. The first impression the camera gave away was sensational. The clarity of the images shown in the lcd was unbelievable. Also it was a bargain for me at 220$ without the memory card but i would advise you to wait for a few months if you are going to buy this since its price will definitely go down. Maybe at first you will get down-hearted like me because of the poor night shots without flash if you did not try the long shutter. The possibilities are endless with this camera. It can turn every simple object to a form of art.You might want to consider buying the sd950is when prices go down. Otherwise this camera gives you the manual photography option very well for a bargain price.
