highly recommended

Great for the price

I bought this blender a couple of weeks ago with the express purpose of making blended coffee drinks. I was skeptical that it was going to do a decent job of crushing the ice but as long as I added liquid it did an awesome job. I tried crushing the ice first then adding the liquid but it works best when you add everything at once. I haven't used the spout yet I just dump the contents into my cup from the jar since I'm the only one who uses it and I only make 1 serving at a time. I figure with the price of $16 it's already paid for itself and then some (considering I used to spend over $4 a day at Starbucks) and I can make my drink using sweet n' low and soy milk just like them which saves tons of calories and is great because I'm lactose intolerant. For me, at least, this blender is a keeper.

Very good blender

I have used this blender with and without ice and the performance has been very satisfactory. I did not notice any smell as other reviewers said. The blender is light, good looking, with easy to use controls and the dispenser is a nice extra touch. The jar appears very solid.
