IT WORKS!

THIS IS A SIMPLE ACCESSORY, BUT A USEFUL ONE FOR TAKING LONG EXPOSURES WITH CAMERA MOUNTED ON A TRIPOD. IT WORKS WELL, AS ADVERTISED, BUT IT IS PRETTY PRICEY CONSIDERING IT'S SIMPLICITY. NEVERTHELESS, IT IS A USEFUL TOOL FOR WHEN IT'S NEEDED. I CURRENTLY USE IT WITH AN OLYMPUS SP570UZ.

Nice, but too modern!

This remote control attach to the same multiport that is used for USB and video output. It does not feel as nice as the old mechanical cables attaching to the shutter button, but it feels well made and includes a velcro strap to make it more secure by attaching to the main camera strap.

The remote cable release RM-UC1 allows the user to take pictures over long exposures without shaking the camera. Additionally, it offers the possibility of locking the release button for bulb exposure. The RM-UC1 connects to the camera's USB connector.
