Yum!

A satisfying, healthy snack -- like a chewy, less-sweet carrot cake. We order these on Subscribe and Save.

There are worse things to shove in your face when you're hungry.

My wife bought these for the kids and the kids didn't like them, so she gave them for me and I took them to work. My first one of the bars served as lunch one day, and I was pleasantly surprised by the balance of sweetness and tartness (I'm writing about the cranberry flavor).

So, the price is right and the taste is right, and they really do suppress my hunger for a while. Good stuff!

Good, quick food but a bit dry, bland, and staining

Odwalla has recently changed the texture of these bars (they say they're now softer, though I don't notice "soft" so much as "cohesive" from the previously crumbly bar); but they're still a bit too dry, a bit too bland and a bit too sweet. Probably not Odwalla's fault...take oats and carrots and raisins and smoosh them together and you'll probably have something just as bland and dry as this bar. But they could have tried spices rather than more fruit-based sugar.
Would like to see more protein in these, and from a non-soy source (because seriously, could we get any more random soy inserted in our diets these days?)
These are fine for what they are--whole grain portable snack--but they're not my ideal meal replacement.
Kids seem to love them, though of all Odwalla's flavors, carrot raisin stains. Look out for anything kids touch during or after eating these bars.
