Terrific mixer stands up over the long haul

This is a great small hand mixer for smaller tasks. We got one as an engagement gift ten years ago and I just bought another for my mom. We use ours every couple of weeks and it has held up great. The motor is strong and clean up could not be easier. We also have a stand mixer that we use for larger tasks. I wouldnt use this for a heavy thick dough, but for mixing pancake batter and things like that it is terrific. One thing not really clear from the description is that is comes with the double mixer head shown in the photo as well as a single wisk attachment. I find that we use the wisk attachment 90% of the time for most mixing tasks. It is seven speeds and I rarely find that I need anything over speed 2 or 3. The motor starts fairly slowly for a second or two so it doesn't make everything splash around. It says it can rest on the side of a bowl, but I have never gotten that to work.

Cuisinart 7 speed

I had a 5 speed that survived Katrina and finally died about 3 months. I have not used this one yet but if it is anything like the 5 speed, it should be great. I actually had one of the Cuisinart stand mixers and preferred the hand mixer over it. It mixed better.

We've had several hand mixers over the years, and this one finally really has the power to do some tougher tasks such as mixing organic peanut butter without struggling. It handles well and the swivel cord helps keep the cord out of the frostings etc. Only one complaint...the so-called power/soft start causes a surge right when you least want it, speeding well above the 1 or 2 setting before settling down, so you have to think ahead before shutting it off, removing it from a mix, and restarting it...if you don't reinsert it in the mix before restarting it, you'll likely splatter the surrounds, including yourself!

no splashes!!

Used this mixer only twice so far but it seems to live up to its promise. No splashes thanks to the gradual start up. My only concern is that electronic controls seem to break faster than the old trusty manual ones.

Great mixer descent price

This is a very nice mixer and had all the features I wanted. The soft start is really nice (Keeps you from trowing food all over the kitchen). It is lightweight but very sturdy and has all the power necessary.
I highly recommend this product.
