Great alternative! Review from a former pampers user!

Easy to use! I took back cases of pampers that I received as shower gifts. These are cute, with lots of diaper cover options(I have only found them on the gdiapers website). We use these whenever we go out. I also use 3.0 bum genius around the house in addition to gdiapers. Gdiapers will leak if you do not change your baby often. I have heard others say that two liners, one used as instructed and the other folded up front for boys, in the middle for girls helps with that problem, especially overnight. Some people also use inserts or prefolds with these covers and use liners for going out. The covers come in small, med and large. The inserts come in small and med/large. Covers are soft and durable. The liners are also pretty soft. They are not like pampers, number 2 will not absorb into the pad-if your baby is on the smaller than the suggested weight for the diapers, they could be MESSY. Covers wash easily, no stains so far. But this has only been a problem with our baby until he reached about 8 lbs. Great for the environment, If you follow the instructions, they flush easily. We mostly throw ours in the trash. Using these and bum genius- I will never again use a regular diaper. I bought enough gdiapers and liners in small, med, and large to last through this and our next baby! The covers are an investment and they are one of the reasons these seem so pricey. If you will be having more kids, this could save money since you will only need to buy liners later on.

LOVE THEM

This is one of the best products I have ever used! I have an 8 week old and have tried cloth diapers but they just leaked like crazy. Gdiapers don't leak at ALL even at night, they are easy to use, and they don't pollute the environment. I have donated ALL my other diapers and use gdiapers exclusively. BUY these, feel good about the planet, and feel good about your baby. I can't say enough.

Great and Eco Friendly

Since my son ended up with horrible eczema from disposables, we were on the hunt for an alternative, which I prefer cloth, but for nighttime use, we can't get a hold on leaking. I've tried seventh generation with success, but they don't hold my son overnight, and the new tabs rip too easily. I was curious about Little g's since I found out about them, especially knowing that they don't clog up landfills. There are definitely pros and cons, just like any diapering system:

Pros:
Eco friendly
Relatively inexpensive initial investment (unlike cloth)
Less laundry because of the snap in liners (and you can wash the diapers with regular wash, unlike cloth, which requires its own special load)
Can use cloth diaper inserts/doublers if you want to cut out the cost of buying refills.

Cons:
You may still have to buy refills
Unless you have them preloaded, it can be a pain to get it set up while your baby waits (and they suggest having them loaded and ready to go in the HUG)
It's a little bit of a pain to make sure you have the proper seal, but this may get easier with time.

In general, this is an OK diaper. I find that the inserts bunch up in a weird way that looks uncomfortable. The liner also feels a bit scratchier than a conventional disposable, which I plan on calling Little g about. It feels a little too papery for my liking. We mainly use these for night time and when using them according to the HUG (one liner in its regular spot, and sushi rolling the second up front for boys) we've had no problems with leaks and my son is one of the heaviest wetters I know. There's no cloth diaper that we've tried that will hold him overnight (11-12 hours), so I consider g diapers a night time success.

Overall, I will probably continue to use these for night time as they work well, although, I may take a strip of microfleece to put over the scratchy inserts and wick moisture away from him, but they're a great hybrid diaper, and I feel better knowing that I can compost them or toss them and they will biodegrade.
