The tree is useless

I thought it would be neat and convenient to get the weights with the stand for storage, but when the box arrived, the tree stand was broken in several small pieces. Instead of lugging the heavy box to the post office, I contacted Amazon and they were happy to discount my purchase to accomodate for the broken stand. If having the stand is really important to you, I would search for a sturdier product. Other than that...I love the convenience of having neoprene weights at home!

Perfect for daily exercise routines

A great little set with a wide variety of uses. People just starting to get in shape, or who want to add a little weight to their daily exercise routine will find these weights very useful.

When I first looked at them, my first thought was admittedly that I didn't think they'd be very useful, as they weren't the 25-, 50-, or 100-pound weight sets. After trying to pick the box up off the porch the day it arrived, I realized I had underestimated their weight. After using them a bit, I realized I had underestimated their value as well. If you're looking at this product and reading this review, I highly recommend you take the plunge and invest in these weights.

The neoprene coating is great. It prevents the weights from slipping out of your hands when you sweat, and is very resilient. I have a couple kittens who like to play around the weights, and their razor-like claws haven't yet been able to slice, tear, or snag the coating. The included tree is a nice touch, and gives you an organized storage place for the weights themselves.

Perfect dumbbells, storage tree is junk.

Like the other people who have reviewed this product, my dumbbell set arrived with the plastic storage stand completely smashed. I had read the other reviews and was prepared for this, so it didn't really bother me. I store my workout gear in a cabinet, so I would have thrown the tree away anyway.

The weights themselves are just fine--accurate 3-, 5-, and 8-pound pairs, comfortable to hold with a slightly nubbly neoprene coating for easy gripping even with sweaty hands and flattened facets that prevent them from rolling away when you put them down.

I have Amazon Prime, so the shipping was free, and when you're ordering something that heavy, it's a great bonus. I am completely satisfied and only knocked off one star because of the broken stand.
