Canon Pixma MP610

Canon makes great printers. This is my 3rd one, and I wouldn't have any other. There is just one drawback with the MP610. The ink refills are very expensive, and by the time you replace them twice, it is the cost you paid for the printer. That is the only fault I have with my Canon.

Fantastic photo printer and copier

I researched many printers before deciding on the Canon Pixma MP610. Initially, I did not think I needed the flatbed scanner/copier feature, since I already had a scanner. I have used this printer so often for copies, it is really great! There is no need to even turn on the computer if I just need a quick copy. The photos print fast and beautifully with this printer! Yesterday, I actually used the provided software to print 2 8 1/2 x 11 borderless photos to show off some family portraits where I work. I work at a swimming pool, so I don't like to take original portraits. All I can say is WOW! I was blown away by the quality of the prints! They look just as good as my portraits with some slight color differences. I'm sure I could tweak the settings to change the color, but I don't see any need. Why did I wait so long to use the printer software for my photos? It's just easier to do what I had been doing, I guess. I have been using the printer for about 3 months, and I have not needed to replace ink yet. I think the ink price is reasonable at $12-$15 per cartridge. This is a fantastic quality and speedy printer.

Very satisfied with the Canon MP610 All-in-one Printer!

I found the MP610 very easy to install, and am still in the process of learning it's operation. It is a bit slower than the HP printer that it replaces, but I especially like the two-sided printing capability. I see no indication,to-date, that the ink cartidges are recyclabale, and that would be a plus if they were.
I did find their HELP line very useful. The response was quick and to the point and it was easy to follow their instructions.
Very happy, overall, with this product.
