Super deal!

My Canon Pixma iP4500 printer is really great! Just plug it in and let it do its thing while initializing and then you are ready to go. I really like the auto on and off feature. Both the text and photo quality are top rate. The price delivered from Amazon.com was hard to believe. The print head on my old Canon i960 had some problems but with Amazon's great price it didn't cost much more to buy the new iP4500 delivered than it would have cost to replace the print head on my old printer.
I highly recommend this printer.

Advances in Inkjet Printers

I was somewhat surprised at the speed and accuracy of the Canon 4500 printer compared to my previous printer, an Epson Stylus 760. The Epson was new in 2000 and did last a long time before failing. My hopes are that the Canon will follow its quality performance with longevity.

Review of Canon IP4500 printer.

I have had this printer (the 3rd Cannon IP I have had) for about a month and a half and so far it is all that I could expect of it. It prints great and the ink cartridges are reasonable. The other 2 printers are still in service and working fine. I would recommend this and the IP80 for excellent quality and reasonable ink prices. I would have given it 5 out out of 5 stars but I have not had it long enough.

Prints photos amazingly. No complaints whatsoever. Not to buyers: You will need to get a USB cable to use this printer.

great photo and home office printer, not just for the money

The Pixma iP4500 is a great printer for photos and general home office use. Set-up is a breeze. Having two trays for photo paper and 8-1/2x11 stock paper is a tremendous plus as is the ability to print on both sides of the paper. The photos look every bit as good as those printed commercially. The included software works flawlessly as a plug-in with the DPP image handling software supplied with Canon DSLR cameras. The unit closes up into an attractive black and silver box with none of the clunky printer look of older generations of printers.
