Awesome sounds, battery lasts forever!

When I saw this product online I thought it was going to be big and bulky, the total opposite is true. Its small, lightweight and I love the color screen. It is very easy to navigate and there are no annoying programs to deal with when adding music (ie iTunes). I used it for about 25-30 hours before I had to recharge the battery and it recharges right at your computer. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for an alternative to the iPod like I was.

Close but no Cigar

I ended up returning this item. Overall it was nice and easy to use but it did not perform up to my expectations. One of the primary reasons I purchased this item was to use at the gym. I am an instructor for group classes and I wanted to be able to store my music on this MP3 and just bring this to my class to plug into the stereo instead of my bulky CD case with CDs that can be scratched. Unfortunately there was no way to play music where there was no delay between songs. This is disruptive in my kickboxing class where we are following through with choreography and a pause throws us off. It also did not level the music so the volume went up and down throughout the time I was using it in class. Not a big deal when you are listening to it on a walk, but a big deal when you are presenting with it.

Also, I uploaded a video through media player and I was unable to watch it on the device. It took up the memory, but I had no way to access it. I did not try too hard to investigate the glitch, but it was the straw that convinced me to send it back.

For a basic MP3 player it's great. It's easy to use, the music sounds good, etc. But I feel it needs to be refined a bit. I am biting the bullet and just ordered an ipod. I was trying to avoid it, but this is the 2nd MP3 that I have returned in my avoidance of purchasing an ipod.

A beloved gadget

I had used an inexpensive mp3 player with limited storage space to find out if I'd really like it before spending for more storage space and options. I used it all the time, so then the educated shopping began.

I found that by all accounts, this 4GB Sony Walkman would suit my needs, and this has proven true. I use Windows Media Player to load my music, and I drag and drop audio books and sermons from a file on my desktop. I use this little gadget everyday, and I love it. The sound quality is terrific, and loading data is really a simple process that only takes a couple of minutes, so it's no trouble at all.

I haven't figured out the video function yet (except for watching the preloaded movie trailer), but that's not why I really bought it. It has an FM radio as well, which I assume would receive better outside. I don't listen to the radio as much as the audio books and music, but it's nice to know it's there. I have some family photos stored which are easily accessible and you can set them to be shown horizontally or vertically.

All in all, I would highly recommend this mp3 player. I have no complaints with it, use it every day, and plan to learn more of its functions over time. Oh, and I chose it in pink so that my husband and sons wouldn't take it from me. One of my sons liked mine so much that he got a 2GB in black.
