Great product, easy set up, long life

This was a beauty out of the box.

Pros: It synched pretty easily once I figured out what the lights meant. Unlike other bluetooth mice I've had, you don't have to go through a lot of fussy set up every single time you use it. Once it's paired, it's good. I have had it about a month and never even shut it off, so the battery life is great. It's also got a handy little off switch on it so it won't accidentally turn on when you travel and be dead when you arrive. It goes to sleep when the computer does. It's very responsive and you can easily switch between mouse mode and trackball mode.

Cons: The trackball is too sensitive and skitters all over the screen as I try to get it to an exact spot. This should be adjustable through software, but the only software available for it (and I've asked about updates) offers to adjust only the scroll wheel speed. They need to come up with adjustments for the speed and sensitivity of the trackball itself.

one less usb cable

The Kensington SlimBlade is rather small compared to a standard trackball. But after a while I got pretty good at using it ie. switching from trackball to mouse with a double click of the center button. It has it's learning curve just like anything else but it suits my purpose well. Also one less usb port being used on my laptop.

Fantastic

Recently purchasing and using the Lensington SlimBlade Trackball mouse, I have been nothing but happy with the results. Easy set up and easy use: put in the batteries, insert the CD into your computer, set up your blue tooth discoverable settings, and off you go. There are two settings: regular mouse or trackball. This is great if you have limited space where the trackball feature would be useful or if you have a large desk where the regular mouse option would work best for you. I have had it for about two months now and the original batteries that were used are still showing full bars on the mouse. Another good feature is when the mouse isn't in use, it shuts down thus extending the life of the batteries. It looks pretty neat too - nice and sleek. Overall, this is a great product!
