Works with noise

I like the concept of a beeping thermometer that makes sure you have it in the correct position, but when you're reading your "waking" temp and your husband is asleep next to you, and you'd rather do it in peace and then sleep a few minutes more after you're done...well, this thermometer doesn't want that.

I've rigged mine so it's quieter now. After I figured out the best way of doing that, well, sheesh, I love it!

I use Billings method NFP, but also temp to confirm ovulation as my signs can be confusing at times. I was using a store-brand digital thermometer when I first started charting, and kept wondering why my temps were always so low. THEN, I lost that piece of junk and bought the BD. It is way faster and more accurate - and I have no problems now. I like the bright backlight and the "beeps." Only thing is, the beeps may be loud enough to disturb a sleeping spouse. Just something to keep in mind if your husband is a light sleeper! I also wish the backlight would stay on while the thermometer is taking your temperature.
